Bidra med feedbackThis is not a fast food restaurant but it is the kind of place you go to be content... the food, cooked to order is wonderful. The portions are a good size and the taste...ah the taste huatvremaons on the memory. Of special mention personally was a amuse bouche of snail velouté... à Charolais steak that even now makes my mouth water at the thought of it... an extensive and magnificent cheese board and on our visit a Grande Marnier soufflé which was light and delicate and had a wonderful alcohol kick at the bottom! You will not be disappointed!
This restaurant is from far one of the best in the area, and a rare find. I come from the area and live in NY everytime I come back, I really enjoy going there: this place is just the right mix between high end gastronomic food served in a simple, well arranged and authentic place. We had our civil wedding lunch there (40 people and 12 kids) and booked the whole restaurant for the occasion. Everyone was amazed by how good it was, and the managers were so arranging with everything, the service is great. I highly recommend this place!
We came here to have a dinner, but received michelin stars really great dinner. Very cozy, food is delicious, atmosphere is great.
We have been to this restaurant many times over the last 30 years and it has changed proprietors now and again. Since Nicolas Guillaume took over it has made a leap forward. The menu is inspired while staying with its roots in Burgundy, and that is true for entrees, mains and desserts. The welcome is always friendly and Jean Michel knows his wines! We will be back!
This is an excellent restaurant tucked away in a village away the main routes which is well worth seeking out. We ate here on several occasions under the former ownership, but this was our first visit to the restaurant under the new owners Céline and Nicolas who are doing an first class job. I had the terroir menu with the most delicious entrecôte Charolais, cooked bleu as ordered. I was astounded I was able to eat the amount of meat - about 350g! - but without an entrée it wasn't hard. The cheese platter was comprehensive although a goat cheese was the only local cheese and the dessert was a magnificent warm soufflé with mirabelles. My wife much enjoyed her aubergines entrée. Her canard was a little tough, perhaps the result of not resting enough after cooking... but improved after a few moments. She also had the soufflé. The service is impeccable, the wine list extensive (we had an excellent Givry premier cru). A very fine dining experience. Bravo!
