Bidra med feedbackA disaster, they almost ruined our evening with friends! Honestly, I have never experienced a customer relationship like this: An unprofessional service (very long waiting time for ordering, our friend got her dish 15 minutes after us, very laboriously, and of course not the one she had ordered, wrong drinks... in short it 's been many, few excuses, and when they present us with the bill, hold on: 6 euros for the “salad supplement” per person. (2 leaves of lettuce, really , price not announced either on the menu or orally. When I make the remark to the head of the room, he calls me bad faith and being aggressive... ouch ouch ouch, really, speaking like that to a customer who just asks to be treated well when he pays 12 euros for a pint and 23 euros for a simple burger... and finally, when I mention the Google review that I 'm going to do, he replies I don 't care, I have plenty of opinions like yours . Really, change jobs. THANKS.
We have been regulars at Balthazar's for years, but since the recent change in ownership, many aspects of the restaurant have unfortunately deteriorated. To start, the menu has been drastically reduced to about a third of its original size, offering the same three or so choices repeatedly. While there are a few more specials during lunch, the selection remains limited. This wouldn't be an issue if the food quality had been maintained, but sadly, it has not. The plating lacks inspiration, and the plates themselves are cheap and mismatched with the food served. For example, serving carpaccio on a mint green plate is visually unappealing. Previously, the tableware was bulky but at least cohesive; now, it’s neither attractive nor well chosen. I ordered a Caesar salad, which was the blandest and driest I’ve ever had. The dressing, which should be a perfect blend of salty, garlicky, and lemony flavors, tasted like it came straight out of a bottle and didn’t sufficiently coat the salad. It lacked seasoning, and I couldn’t finish it—it was like eating my napkin. The chicken on top was passable but also dry. The carpaccio tasted okay, but its presentation was unappetizing. We wondered if the chef was fresh out of cooking school because every dish looked uninspired. For the same price, you can get much better quality a stone’s throw away at Bistro Du Theatre, where the ingredients are fresh and the plating is ambitious. Another disappointment was the absence of the fresh strawberries and cream that used to be a summer highlight. Now, all the desserts are oversized and difficult to finish. I did enjoy the crab brioche, and the burger is still decent, but the removal of the children's menu is puzzling given the already limited options. Overall, considering the money and the prime location, Balthazar's has become a disappointing choice. Unless significant improvements are made, I won’t be spending my money there again.

A beautiful setting, Beautiful location, a treat for our taste buds. Well located restaurant, a beautiful, smiling, attentive and responsive team. Good value for money. Great atmosphere. Parking nearby. The food is good there. The only downside was the tiramisu which was not unanimously appreciated.
