Tim Hortons - Boucherville

This Tim Hortons is at the south east corner of Rue Volta and Boulevard de Mortagne. This Tim Horton's has survived the many business changes in this area of Boucherville near the 20 (Trans Can) at the Boule de Mortagne exit. I can't tell you how many places have changed in the last 20 years from Burger King to Casey's, to Chili's to Nickels to Scores. Anyway this just goes to show how Tim Hortons is a gold mine in stability because realistically I've never seen one close. This location like most places in the south shore may not have staff that speak English but that's ok but when they realize I'm speaking Francais, somebody else immediately comes to the order counter to help. I find that most places are like that outside of Montreal where if you don't speak Francais they'll still help or do their best. I'm not really big on Tim's food but being that the McDonald's down the street was closed (at the gas station) and I really needed a coffee and something to eat being before 6am I decided to get the food here. I got 2 sausage, egg and cheese biscuits for 5 bucks and a coffee which turned into about 7.50 after tax. I notice a common practice in and around the south shore where places will leave change on their counter instead of a tip jar, it's just directly on the counter. I first noticed that the Tim's here years ago and they still do that as do other places like A&W etc.

Your classic Tim 's we love this stuff. On our way to Quebec City from Montreal, stopped off the highway to get breakfast here... Be prepared: This is in the 'burbs and very, definitely, a Francophone place. The staff did NOT speak English, so this was the first time I had to dust off my very limited and recently acquired French skills. That said, they understood me, and our order was both accurate and delicious. Tim Hortons never ceases to amaze me with the general consistency of their product. If only Dunkin Donuts could do the same!
