Witham Tavern - Boston

Went for lunch .Ordered a mushroom pizza .Barman was really helpful throughout our visit and told us about their deals available ...The mushroom pizza was well presented and tasted delicious .Will definitely be going back .

Lovely place,but should have bar meals and Sunday dinners.I had a steak very nice,but the presentation was awful,should have a side salad with it. A steak meal should have grilled tomatoes and mushrooms, with chips,they must change their service, or they will lose a lot of customers.

Booked a table at the bar on the Tuesday for Saturday, on arrival no table booked, owner couldn't care less, she eventually offered a small table next to the bar which I declined I was then offered another table in the conservatory, I went up to the bar as all the waitresses were too busy to make eye contact and waited for fifteen minutes being ignored so I paid for my drink first one and left. A lot of money spent on the refurbishment which will go to waste unless they up their game.

You need to abide by the law. You run a licenced premises so you DO NOT charge for water. Thumbs up to those who reported this. £1.20 for tap water is a disgrace. Even 20p may be appropriate but any thingvover is taking : 'z

Food was good,as usual. manager needs a lesson in people management, too brusk. We have been coming to this venue for years but could be one more visit just to check if we got it right. ............
