Roost Bistro on Newbury - Boston

We were in roost several times and were never disappointed. we could eat outside and it was a lot of fun. eating was delicious and the server was extremely noticeable for food allergies. menu is simple, but honestly, so we come back again and again. also the prices are reasonable for the newbury street.

The food was delicious, the service was friendly and fantastic. filz welcome and appreciated without floating. this place is great! highly recommended.

I have eaten several times, so it was excited to bring my friend here for her first visit. this trip did not go well and I am disappointed by the entire experience. we sat outside and had brunch and I was surprised that the Mumosa list I enjoyed at earlier locations was no longer available. we didn't mind and placed our order, but what I ordered didn't come, but they did something else. I realized after I started eating that it was another article from the menu and had reported the server. She checked with the chef, and somehow the chef believed that what I demanded was what he had sent out, which was of course not. I told her to check the menu because the menu item I ordered did not contain what was on my teller. Finally, the cook believed me and did what I ordered, but then when it came out, it was part of what the court should have come! I can't stand it. the server was apologetic, etc. but the whole thing seemed a little ridiculous. I expected at least composed drinks or a free dish since I got my food, my friend had already eaten them, but that didn't happen. the chef finally came out to apologize for the problem and sent us free dessert, which was nice, except none of us really dessert, so we had a few bites and then my friend brought the rest to home for friends. roost is in the usually very pleasant, smooth, professional, I go there and feel in the usually totally well and how the whole place is very organized and in this case that does not happen at all. even small details were not thought of as if we have to attack, we will probably want butter and jam, something like that. or my friend, who asked for her court with the meat part on the side, they brought her an additional side of meat and left the menu item meat on her teller. my food was delicious, but the service was at best chaotic. not sure what happened this day, but it was a big breakdown in the communication in the restaurant.

Very disappointed made a reservation and confirmed the reservation and yet when I showed dinner, I was informed that the gas cook didn't work and raw was not able to prepare or serve. why not notify with reservations so that they can make other plans. no good experience.

The food was mediocre at best. I wish I could say something good about any of our seven dinners, but no one had anything they particularly enjoyed. My own chicken meal was a small rock shaped unflavored lump with three Spears of asparagus draped on top.
