Bidra med feedbackCute spot in the theater district. Great service, food came really quickly. Food tasted very good and potions were great.
Got the shrimp and grits and fried chicken with red beans. The beans and grits were amazing. Also got the crab cake special which was more bread than crab and mediocre. The vibe is fun and jazzy music makes you feel like you are in New Orleans.
I love Southern food. I have eaten in New Orleans many times, at many different restaurants. This was some of the best I have found in New England, but if youare truly looking for New Orleans food, you might be a little underwhelmed. I will say, the service was less less than adequate. Overall, I would recommend but with a grain of salt. Food good but New Englad good, service is fine.
Great spot for delicious food. Love this place and will come again.
Between the three of us, we ordered fried broccoli, sweet potato fries, fried oysters, the chicken sandwich with onion rings, fish chips, substituting the fries for red beans rice (with a small up charge). And for dessert, I got the peaches, praline ice cream. The service was great. The food was delicious. Everything came out hot and well seasoned. They had several hot sauces to choose from. All the apps, entrees and sides we ordered were worth coming back for more. The only thing that kept me from giving them 5 stars, was the dessert. The chef should prepare the peaches maybe bake them with a little brown sugar cinnamon. But they were ice cold. I needed a knife to cut through them. If it weren't for the fact that the peaches were cold and hard, I would think the chef opened a can of peaches, dumped them in a bowl, and added ice cream. It was so underwhelming. If they start serving those peaches warm soft, that dessert would be 100% better! Despite the peaches cream, I'd come back. But I will try a different dessert and make sure I first ask if it's served warm.
