This is such a cute little place in the middle of ipswich. The service is quite good and the food comes relatively quickly depending on how busy they are. I love their big sushi rolls and the teriyaki don bowls. Can be quite expensive for what you get and there isn't much atmosphere but still a good place to grab sushi!
Quirky and interesting, Papa's is ell worth a visit during your stay in Ipswich. The sashimi is stunningly fresh, the rolls exciting and photo-worthy and the waitresses definitely interesting. Can't wait to dine here again!
There are plenty of vegetarian choices available at this restaurant. The staff were thoughtful enough to notify me when a dish contained meat, and they adjusted the selection to accommodate my dietary restrictions. The food was fresh and nutritious. The staff were incredibly helpful, and the prices on the menu were quite reasonable.
I can confidently say that this restaurant serves the best sushi and sashimi in Ipswich. The sushi rice is always soft and not firm like some of the quick fix options found in display cabinets. The food is made to order and of better quality. Recently, I ordered two takeaway meals and was told it would take 25 minutes. Despite the restaurant being empty on a Sunday night, the food took longer than expected to be ready. However, the woman who served me was friendly and efficient. The takeaway meals were beautifully presented in traditional Japanese style, similar to a bento box. Both the Yakiniki Rice and Salmon Teriyaki Don were delicious and perfectly cooked, with just the right balance of flavors. I look forward to trying more items on the menu, such as curries, udon, and their take on Yakisoba. This restaurant offers affordable, fresh, good quality, and healthy options, making it a regular spot on my list of favorite Ipswich eateries.
