Bidra med feedbackBeen passing this for years but never at lunchtime. Finally passing through at lunch time to get some A&W. I was so excited and then so disappointed. Ordered my burger with no onion and changed fries for cheese curds. Not what I got. Seemed like the burger had extra onion and warm fries (no cheese curds). It wasn?t that busy even. Even if you pick the onion off it still taste and smells like onion. That?s one giant fail A&W. I was on a road trip and already down the road when I discovered this or I would have returned it. Thanks for nothing.
It had been a long time since I'd seen a free standing A&W, so we had to stop and check it out. The restaurant is a little dark but it seemed to be just like I remembered them from once upon a time. The counter staff was friendly and quick. Food was typical fast food. Good if you like that, which we did. The facility was clean and I think it would be fun to be back in winter to sit around the fire place.
It?s one of the few remaining stand-alone A&Ws and that?s just the way we like it. We drive or ride our MCs all the way from KC just for a chili dog and good old fashioned root beer float in a frosty mug. Food is always good and service friendly?don?t change a thing!!
You don't see too many A&W root beer places around anymore. It's usually a part of long John silver's , but if you can find it separate it's definitely worth going to. Also having a nice cold frozen mug with rootbeer in it cant be beat . Definitely brings back nostalgic memories.
I absolutely love this place! The staff is friendly and the food is consistently excellent. I brought home some Root Beer for my grandkids, and they enjoyed it so much that I should definitely get more next time!
