Whiteside's - Bolton

One of the best fish and chip shops in Bolton. Iv been here now a number of times and they never disappoint.

The title says it all. Properly cooked chips and crispy battered fish, what more do we need. Much superior to other local, greasy chippies banging out food, semi-cooked. Food is always fresh, hot and on point. I take friends from other countries there when they ask for 'real English ' fish and chips. They have never failed to impress.

Consistently high quality food produced at a reasonable price. Food cooked fresh from order as you enter. Like the choice of Haddock as well as Cod. Fish and Chips, or Steak Pudding, Chips, Peas and Gravy. Very amenable and courteous staff, its popularity with the public speaks volumes. Few chippies of this high quality to be found these days. Memories of my youth hope it continues to prosper in the coming years!

Always a queue when I go, but that's because it's so popular. Good food well cooked, and friendly staff.
