Great atmosphere! Full with happy people outside in the setting sun! And my rare steak was cooked to perfection! Perfect evening thank you! Will come again.

Booked knowing a band was playing but boy we didn't expect it to be as packed as it was. However, staff worked really hard to get us seated food order taken. I did find having the curtains closed at that point made an already hot room even hotter. The food half roast barbecue chicken a mince suet pudding were both enjoyable. (The band was really good)

We have been drinking in this pub for a few years and the service is fantastic. Yesterday we thought we would give the food a try as we hadn’t eaten there for quite a while and last week we saw food being brought out that looked lovely. We took a couple of our friends with us on this occasion. Needles to say we weren’t disappointed. The food was excellent ! We both had steak baguette and out friends had scampi and chicken burger. All the food was great , service as always was excellent. So pleased to have found great pub food in a pub we frequent more and more for drinks. We will certainly be eating there again.

Best roast beef in town! Went in peak time on a Sunday afternoon and squeezed me in. Excellent choice of quality ales on tap while I waited. Friendly attentive staff. 5

Lovely place however not somewhere I would go to eat regularly due to only having one vegan option on the menu. Shame as it is only a short drive away.
