Bidra med feedbackWe requested the bill, which took a long time, and I felt anxious and wanted to get to a pharmacy quickly. After getting allergy tablets, I spent the rest of the day at home recovering from what felt like food poisoning. When I called the restaurant for a refund, the manager was rude and hung up on me, which was very unprofessional. I have reported the incident to the council as I suspect food poisoning from this establishment.
I have visited this restaurant twice before, once when it first opened and was delighted to find an authentic pizza in Bolton town center. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are friendly. However, on our most recent visit, I was disappointed. I was served a glass of wine with food dried onto the stem of the glass. I brushed it off as the glass itself being clean, but attributed it to the waiter handling food at the same time. The usually delicious pizza had undercooked dough and a topping that was so sloppy it slid off. Additionally, my Mother ordered a small glass of wine but was given a large one, and we were not offered a discount. I hope that this poor experience was just a one-off and that the restaurant can return to its original high standards.
During the Christmas period, my husband and I visited this restaurant several times, and I also went with friends at the end of January. Throughout all of these visits, I had a fantastic experience. We tried pizza, pasta, and a burger, all of which were excellent. The drinks, including cocktails, were reasonably priced. The only downside is that while the waiters are polite and the food and drinks come quickly after ordering, they can be hard to find when you need to order something else. Despite this, I continue to visit regularly and have enjoyed each and every visit. I hope the quality of the restaurant continues to impress.
Visited here recently, was pleasantly surprised. Food was lovely especially the 3 course offer which was great value for money. Only down side was my meatballs weren't the warmest and staff although friendly weren't the most attentive. I do however look forward to returning and trying some more of the menu.
Very strong recommendation. Three of us .. all who dine out regularly found the food, wine and service excellent. In fact outstanding. Since the loss of Toscana and La Roma in the town centre, Bolton has missed a good quality independent Italian restaurant. Chef and our waiter from Milan .. and it shows in the food and service. My wife and I eat out in Manchester regularly and we would recommend La Piazza over the Manchester Italian restaurants. We sincerely hope for two things .. that La Piazza survives the difficulties of starting up .. and that you as a customer have just as good an experience as we did.
