Spice Junction - Boldon Colliery

Thought we would treat ourselves new years eve to a lovley curry...was ordered for 18.30pm arrived at 18.00pm and it was cold as well as being horrible. It's all in the bin if I hadn't been drinking I would have taken it back. Never again put it down to experience and live and learn.

Like the staff and their service but doesn’t like the taste

Today , 19 Nov , Ordered by phone at 17.45, delivery within the hour, fine. At 19.00 called up as no delivery, told it was out with driver and would be arriving any minute. 19.40 called again , driver back at site , we have no meal, apparently never went out, Beans on toast for tea. Same story 2 weeks ago, it did eventually turn up though, stone cold went in bin, money down drain. After being a customer for many years it's over, something very amiss here. I recommend the Chennai Chicken Tikka, spicy but delicious.

Avoid Spice junction at 7 Hutton St, Boldon Colliery NE35 9LW. Serving customers moldy food. No fresh ingredients to save money. There is alsorts going on in the background. Shop has been given a 5 star hygiene however this should be reviewed as it is dirty they use the same cloths every day without washing and knives for everything arent washed inbetween ie between fish or veg. Dirty oil out of the fryer becomes oil used in your currys. The pans are also not washed between curry's if they're slightly simular they will use the same pan even if an allergy has been listed or its a vegetarian option. Not only that but the main staff are violent, racists and very rude to staff and customers. Most of the non bangaladeshi staff are cash In hand therefore have no union and can be treated this way.
