Bidra med feedbackWe drove to the north end of Pine Island to try Capt'n Con's Fish House are glad we did! I ordered the Country Steak mashed potatoes that was so good at $14.99. This was a huge pork loin, very tender with an awesome, crunchy coating! My husband orderedthe Grouper sandwich at $22 mkt price; he got 2 big filets that were excellent. I also love their gift shop where I found tattedearrings, cute shirts, pillow covers, etc. We will return to this good destination.
Stopped out as we viewed Pine Island one month after Hurricane Ian. Pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant open. Location, view and food are great. Especially at sunset. Unfortunately the fishing pier was destroyed by Ian and needsextensive repair. Always a great place to go and if friends or family are in, to take them.
Shoutout to the nicest, most efficient waitress Denise! Thank you for taking on our large party. You were so nice, personable professional.
I am from out of town and wanted to sit by a window. After 30 minutes not one person acknowledged us. Finally my friend who is a local got the attention of a very miserable waitress. My friend asked for a menu. The waitress immediately said “ you sat at a dirty table” “it’s the rules, you have to sit at a clean table” let me say there were no clean tables near a window. She was very rude about it. We would have gladly cleaned the table all we wanted were menus and to put an order in. Needless to say the rest of my vacation I will not be back and my island friends don’t like it at Capt Cons anyway but I talked the into it. My mistake! Plus I hope that waitresses face first freeze like it was, wow. Miserable.
For a small local eatery it was fun. Not first class in anyway but worth the experience and the food was pretty darn good.
