Bidra med feedbackOur visit to the lively was a little frustrating, dakota our waiter was great. They were out of pretty much everything on their menu, i had to order 3 different food items before i got to something they weren't out of. I had to order 2 different bottles of wine before finding one they hadn't run out of. My reservation wasn't super late or close to close either. It was extremely hot in the restaurant, our entire party was literally sweating the entire time. We spent about 2.5 hours at the restaurant. The food received was good. Not great. For the price we will not be visiting again.
The space is beautiful and all the staff is very helpful and friendly. It seems everyone that works there feels proud of the space and the food/drinks being served, which is nice. The food was delicious. It was a really fun evening.
Beautifully decorated but it ends there. The server was appeared bored and utterly uninterested in the food and us. The food presentation was as interesting as the waiter and my pasta dish was dried out uncooked angnolitti with gritty flavorless “meat”. When I ate none of it the waiter didn't seem to care which must be how the chefs felt as well. Save your money!!
I would consider The Lively to be a must eat here in Boise. Sure, you are most likely going to be spending more money eating here than somewhere else but the quality matches the price. The duck and wagyu were amazing! We had a diver scallop to share and it was cooked to perfection! Highly recommend splurging a little and checking this place out!
This was our third time dining here, and it may be the last. All four of us were completely shocked by the amount of salt poured into or on our appetizers and entrees. Patrons deserve better.
