Bidra med feedbackMy book group had a wonderful lunch in the richard’s restaurant on Thursday, 10th March. I had the grilled salmon with roasted potato and beet. everything was perfectly cooked and served beautifully. I also had the supplied by the side salad with its creamy green olive suit-absolute delicious. we have divided three delicious desserts. our server was warm, efficient and helpful. I recommend richards restaurant for tasty eating, excellent service and elegant environment.
My wife and I celebrated our first anniversary here and it was amazing. We stayed at the Inn at 500 (which I would also recommend) for a couple nights so we had the opportunity to eat at Richard's for both dinner and breakfast. For dinner, I had the ribeye steak, seasonal veggies, and fingerling potatoes, and my wife had the halibut, seasonal veggies, and three cheese raviolis. These dishes were on point. Everything cooked to perfection, and beautiful presentation. The breakfast was great too, they had many traditional options, a little something for everyone and the dishes we got were perfect. On top of all that, the food is reasonably priced for such a high end restaurant. We are both from Boise and have been to just about every restaurant in the valley that's worth going to, and Richard's has become one of our new favorites.
We're visiting Boise from SoCal. We met some locals at a bar and they suggested Richards for brunch. The bartender chimed and said good things too so we gave it a shot. It did not disappoint. It had a lot of the same things as a traditional weekend breakfast joint a decent amount of options, good drinks, good service without the +30 minute wait for a table.
I had a great experience for my moms birthday. The staff were very friendly and the server was very attentive to our needs but didn’t bug us either. We ordered the whipped feta appetizer and the presentation was great. It tasted very good. I ordered the papardelle pasta and it was really not my favorite. The walnuts did not fit in the dish and the sauce tasted off. I would never order that again. However, the food did come hot and the squash that was in the dish was good. The sauce ruined the whole dish. My mom got the cheese ravioli with the pesto cream sauce and that was so delicious I wish I had gotten that. I will be coming back. Hopefully Richards sees this and changes the sauce on that dish.
Had our first Richard 's experience over the weekend for our anniversary. It was nice to be taken right to our table off of our reservation rather than stand around. Richard 's hosts were on top of it. The hand signed card for our anniversary was a nice touch. Our server was very attentive and good. She never let drinks run down and was always prebussing the table as we worked through apps, soup and salad. We ordered the grilled shrimp and fig flatbread. The grilled shrimp with a basil cream sauce was very good and shrimp were grilled perfectly. Neither of us were fans of the flatbread. Would definitely hard pass on that one next time. She had a bowl of tomato basil soup and I had a salad with a vinagerette that was great. Getting into the entrees, my wife ordered the rabbit and I ordered the proscuitto wrapped chicken breast. The Mrs really liked the rabbit but had one of the drums that was pretty dry. Not dry enough to warrant a complaint, though. The sides were great. I went with the servers recommendation and my chicken was phenomenal. One of the most moist pieces of chicken I 've had at a restaurant with some really good flavor. We finished the dinner off with complimentary cinnamon apple gelato, cup of tea and coffee. My only suggestion would be to not call the tea artisan on the menu then come out with a Bigelow tea bag. Albeit, Bigelow does decent tea, it 's not exactly what I think as artisan at a place like Richard 's. Overall, it was a great experience and we 'll be going back in the future.
