Bidra med feedbackWe had an amazing time at Oak Ember. We sat inside where the ambiance was classy and calm. Our server Santiago was very attentive and did a great job. The food was really delicious.I also loved that they blowtorch the steak at the table a really nice extra that adds to the experience.Highly recommend!
The soup was delicious, and nice and hot. I thought for such an expensive expensive restaurant, it's might have been a nice touch to produce some bread on the table. The main course which we ordered was the mixed grilled platter for $200 . It arrived Luke warm. I asked for mustard, which never appeared . About 20 minutes later the waiter came over and asked how everything was. I told him the food was cold, and the mustard never arrived. He said he was sorry and got the mustard... Too late! Whilst we were eating the main course the waiter came over and asked us what dessert we'd like! I said I'm still eating my main course! Basically the service was abysmal. Waiter had no idea. Dinner for three cost $400. For that money, I expect good service and hot food. Not coming back here again.
We had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and presented in a very appetizing way. The atmosphere was beautiful, this restaurant was very tastefully decorated with understated elegance. The tables were not too close together so we felt we had our privacy. They had a very nice wine menu and a nice assortment of mixed cocktails as well. I will definitely be back again soon.
I ordered the Ribeye and it was served cold. The waitress brought out a blowtorch and heated it up some, however it was not really hot. I ate it anyway and it was okay. Later that night about 3AM I had to get out of bed and use the toilet. The potato wedges were only fair. Some of them were overcooked and black. I had to ask for salad dressing for the greens that were served on my plate. If I were you I would serve them in a separate bowl or dish. I don't know anyone who wants a warm salad. I had a glass of the Binyamina Cabernet and it was okay. The glass was relatively small and not filled up enough. It was relatively expensive for one glass. My girlfriend had the Halibut. It is advertised as being potato encrusted. This usually means that the fish is coated with potato flakes or mashed potatoes. The waitress explained that it would be covered with thin slices of potato. She said it tasted good. I think that it looked nice, although it should have had some kind of garnish on the plate with it or a vegetable. It was just a piece of fish on a plate and the presentation was not good. The music was not really what I like or appropriate for a gourmet restaurant. It was kind of loud as well. The atmosphere is very nice and we sat inside near the wine room. There was one light bulb out in the chandelier and I let the waitress know. She told me that she would let the manager know.
Pretty weak overall. Med-Rare Steak was extremely under...didn't send back because it took forever and outer was charred (inner was raw). More of a Pittsburgh rare (black blue). Would not allow substitute of hericot verde for broccolini. Entire place was full of typical complaining NY snowbird cheapos with large noses.
