Avanti's - Bloomington

Avanti?s has been a staple in the twin cities for decades. Most anyone that went to ISU back in the day loves the place. I think it was decent food at a really good price. Unfortunately, since the founder passed away, the quality of the food has notincreased but the prices certainly have. For what they charge more, they should be providing better quality meat and cheese.

Love the cheese balls, gondolas, and the cheesecakes the Reese's was by far my favorite!! And I hey have hands down the best ranch dressing in central Illinois

Used to be dining in and being waited on, but now you order at a counter and pay up front! Then you are seated! Meal came out 10-15 minutes later! Very fast and efficient for groups with kids!

Traveling thru, had good Google reviews so we stopped. I do not recommend at all, more of a fast foot Italian with no service at table. Plus food was very bland, and salad was iceberg with some dressing on the top. No cheese or tomatoes. Very disappointed. It's pretty cheap.....so I guess I got what I paid for. If you want tastful Italian, please go somewhere else!

Not impressed with their business model. Hostes takes your order in front entry as you walk in. Have to look at the menu there. After you order you seat yourself and go into an alcove to get your drink. Only one server to bring out the food. Good thing it wasn't busy. Presume this was done post covid and still can't find enough help to cover. Food was very good.
