Aki Asian House - Bloomfield

We went to Aki. s birthday after we don't have it for a reservation in another restaurant. I saw some of the negative reviews on Yelp, but after eating here, I honestly don't understand how they have a bad rating! The service was amazing, the waitress (should I not get her name, was really energetic, very polite and simply great. The food was fresh and so delicious! Sashimi and Sushi were on site. The General Tao? Chicken was delicious, my bf finds a lot of places don?t the sauce right or the texture is strange, but Aki has the recipe for perfection. Price is reasonable. Also the waitress was more than happy to help me put the cake in the refrigerator, take it prepared with candles and the custom topper I bought. In the rush to get the cake and everything I had forgotten candles and lighter, fortunately Aki had some on his hand. You? re a lifesaver! The only cone I would have is that the restaurant was a bit cold - our table was right next to the door so it would be expected. And the bubble tea was rather a **** with many tiny crushed ice, bubbles were a bit hard. But for $4 and convenience, not bad. All in all, it was a nice culinary experience. Very glad we found this place would come back when I'm in the area. Tips for parking! Street parking was hard to find and we arrived at 5:00 on a Friday, Glenwood Garage is just around the corner next to the buy-Rite Wine Liquor store. It is 2 minutes walk from the restaurant. It was just $1 a hr (unheard of?? Cheapest parking I have ever seen lol and for 2 hours max. But in addition is $1 an hour, I think? Not sure. We were just a bit over, and it just charged me $2. Many parking spaces are available. (For those who are curious, is the cake?Rouge Noir? by Delice Macarons in Cranford. Dark chocolate raspberry. Custom Tupfer is from GoldenTopper on Etsy. All right!

LOVED LOVED LOVED this place! The fish is very fresh! Loved it was later opened, loved the guard and the place as well. I recommend taking a bite here! Prices are also excellent! Thank you.

We had the Hibachi before and loved it. Today we have the Dragon Roll and Shrimps Tempoura Roll. It was very good. Really pleasant staff and good possibilities.

We ordered a caterpillar roll and a dynamite roll through Uber Eats. Unfortunately, we were not impressed. Firstly, the portion size was much too small for the price we paid. Secondly, the ingredients did not seem as fresh as advertised in the photos. Additionally, the deep-fried roll was soggy and lacked the crispiness we expected. To make matters worse, we only received chopsticks with our order and no napkins. Overall, we were disappointed and would not choose to order from this restaurant again.

I have been a customer at Aki House for several years now, and I must say that the food is consistently excellent and the service is top-notch. I especially enjoy their Bento Box lunch specials, and today I tried a delicious sushi and sashimi combo. I highly recommend Aki House to anyone looking for a great dining experience!
