This was a really good choice in blois, where restaurants can be touristic and expensive. the very busy waitress found us quickly a table despite no reservation. eating was good and service alike. the prices were appropriate for a tourist city. we ate outside in a small courtyard and locals were also eating there. friendly staff and we would return.
We wanted somewhere close to our hotel as it was a cold night and we found Le Vespa It was clean and in good decorative condition but sadly like the other restaurants around it empty The staff (1 person) as it was a quiet Thursday...night in a very cold town he was helpful and made some useful suggestions The food was as expected freshly made pizzas served hot but sadly on cold plates so by the time we had finished the food was cold The wines on offer were enjoyable without breaking the bank Would we go back? Yes but in the summer time then we can sit outside Value was good
Last night six of us had dinner at Le Vespa. We had made a reservation for 7 p.m., but were told the restaurant was very full and we would not be able to sit together. We arrived before 7 and were the first there. They...said we could not be together, but there were mny tables for two or four inthe lovely courtyard, so we suggested moving one of the small tables next to a larger one. They agreed to do that, an easy solution one would think. One of the couples each ordered steak and fries, wine and beer. The other couples just ordered one pizza each, but one couple also ordered a half liter of wine and the other couple ordered two glasses of wine plus an iced tea. We were told by the owner that because we were splitting the pizzas there would be a minimal charge for split plates. Unfortunately, we did not ask what he meant by minimal. The food was fairly good, but do not order pizza unless you like an extremely thin crust. The pizzas were not cut and we had to request knives to do it ourselves. There were no plates offered at all for the pizzas, so we assumed we would not be charged for an extra plate. Our bill arrived with a 5 euro extra charge for each of the pizzas. We complained to the owner, but he said they were so booked and busy they had to do this. The courtyard still had some empty tables, however. We paid the charge but we are not happy about it and do not recommend the restaurant.
