Le Coup de Fourchette - Blois

Friday evening in blois and the city is unusually quiet; this restaurant had only one table occupied when I arrived and there were no other customers during the time I was there. the part was that I could sit on the window (a bit too... comfortable sitting outside, although this would be a good option, otherwise and enjoy the view over the loire. it's a good location. the menu is not extensive, and even less so in the night I was there. I ended up with the hamburger of the day, something that I usually had not chosen, but it seemed the best of the few available options. it was served with a basket of freshly made frits and was quite good, I must say. it seemed that the last half bottle of wine had gone to the other table throughout the restaurant (quel déception! so my decisions were even more limited. this place was recommended by my host and he said it was his regular a small restaurant that is run by some local women, the good honest food for a reasonable price. I have to admit that I was somewhat disappointed, maybe because my expectations were high. I think the prices were also a bit on the high side for the offer. perhaps another day, with a little more to offer regarding the choice and a few other customers to live the place a little dinge would have been different; so I will give it the advantage of doubt, especially given the strong recommendation of a local who seemed to know its restaurants.

We were a family of 4 and some liked the restaurant and some were less enthusiastic. we had 3 different braves as starters that were delicious. as a main dish the vegetarian lasagne was a success, but the bark and the bruschetta (very different). of the Italian) were less a success. it could also be due to the waiting period that was long, but in general the feeling comme ci comme ça was.

So tasty homemade dishes beyond my expectation, right at the riverside, my parents were tired and we decided to find the next place, although the menu is small (but many salad options, which is awesome), but each dish is very tasty with its own...flavor they love the Cezar salad, large portion with huh and small fish so delicious, the fish sole also very good. the host is very nice and explain the details, very good service. the next time at blois will come back definitiw.

Excellent value bistrot, only seemingly open Thursday to Saturday. Home-style cooking, in pleasant surroundings. Staff very amiable and helpful.

L'attente des plats vaux le coup!!!! Bon produits et très bon vins proposé. Seul (tout) petit bémol : la mayonnaise en sachet..... une bonne petite mayonnaise maison et ce serait parfait!!!!!
