Olive Garden Italian Kitchen - Blasdell

My review is based on experiences at other causal dining chains, in comparison to this Olive Garden. Obviously, food at a chain is never going to compare to an authentic Italian restaurant. This is our usual location for going to Olive Garden. We usually go every couple of months or so. The service and employees are always excellent. They are always friendly and very attentive. I would give service 5/5. I also appreciate that it seems clean and the bathrooms are clean as well. The food can be a little inconsistent. We had one visit where the pasta and sauce were very watery. The breadsticks also seemed different. However, our next visit (last week) was back to normal. I guess I would give the food 3.5 out of 5 for the inconsistency. The thing I like about Olive Garden is that their children's meals are reasonably priced, offer a variety of options, and include a drink. It is definitely family friendly.

Food and service, across the board, not good. we called in an hour and a half ahead of time telling them we had a table of seven and they said that they can't take reservations unless it's eight or more. She said there shouldn't be a wait and that we should just call about 10 minutes before we arrive . We called 10 minutes before arrival and we were told it would be a 30 to 45 minute wait. About 15 minutes later, we were told it will be 45 minutes to an hour. The bread sticks were undercooked, the pasta was burnt in spots and sticky. We would definitely NOT recommend.

This location has recently made changes to enrich its cultural experience. The service was good, the food was good, the restaurant was clean. Classic Italian cuisine that you can count on for consistency. We had a wait and we were seated within the estimated time.

What happened to the excellent garlic bread sticks that tasted so good and soft??? I was there today April 28, 2024 at PM. An got the usual unlimited garlic bread sticks, salad and pasta fasool (sp). The bread sticks were horrible, no garlic flavor at all and the soup was delivered on a freezing cold plate? HUH??? even the refill was delivered on a freezing cold plate. Coffee was the best part of the meal. Salad was ok and plenty of it. Extremely disappointed. I normally go to the one in N. Falls. This one was a horrible meal experience. Will never go to this one again.

We haven 't been to Olive Garden in about 15 yrs. Because we stopped going to chain restaurants because we like to support local,family owned and operated establishments. But a family member was celebrating her 70 Birthday and that 's were it was . There were 17 of us and we all had a great time! We all started with drinks , the favorite was the Italian Margaritas , delicious , it was on the sweeter side and could have used more tequila, but very enjoyable !we were all pleasantly surprised how good it all was! I always loved the unlimited salad and bead stick and the soups are good too. I had the chicken and shrimp Carbonara, it was delicious,creamy fresh good size portion , plenty of shrimp and chicken ! The wife had the chicken Alfredo she also loved it , same freshness and very flavorful and plentiful. Like I said everyone love it all. The service was great for the size party we had and we were drinking so we got loud laughing and busting the waitresses chops, all in good fun they gave it right back to us, great girls! Might have to adjust our policy on this chain and return again!
