Best Western Premier Airporthotel Fontane Berlin

Room was clean and breakfast was good. However I choose this hotel as it had electric car charging facilities. Hence the one star as the process was cumbersome and expensive. The charge was 12 euro for parking plus 1 euro per hour charging. However charging is via a standard 240V plug so the next morning had only charged a little and I had to stop at a fast charger anyway. The process is also clumsy, you pay a deposit and have to sign something that if you loose the key (240V outlet is behind a box) you pay 30 euro. So in short would not recommend for people with an electric car. What would have made it acceptable. Do not charge extra above the 12 euro parking cost for a slow charger. I understand that electricity is not free but you do not charge extra for the airconditioning? which has about the same usage. If the charger was fast where my battery is full then a surcharge would not be a problem

A pity about the location, but the staff and rooms are generally good.

Stayed there last weekend for the marathon after being let down by our previous accommodation. Room was clean and tidy. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Only had the buffet breakfast which was excellent and catered for everyone. Never used the restaurant of an evening although it did always look busy. Overall our stay was very enjoyable and I would definitely stay there again.

Rezeption always helpful and friendly. Many great Breakfast optiona...scambled eggs tasted like rubber. When one showered the bathroom floor got really wet, but room service was really friendly and immediately cleaned it all up. Free bicycle so the few miles to the next train station were easy to get to, there is also a shuttle service but it costs 10€ per room.

Room design was good, staff very friendly however carpet had loads of stains, room was very far from reception, hotel is next to highway so pretty noisy. Also it is middle of nowhere so nearest station is 20 min walk and taxi usually refuses to go there at night.
