The Clean Plate: Black Mountain

This place is bizarre. Don’t trust the hours on the website, you never know if they’ll be there or not. Second time I’ve driven 30 minutes to come there for breakfast and they’re not open even though it says online they are open. They might say they’re open at 9am on Sunday, but I waited from 9-9:45. No one ever showed up. Waste of time. However the one time I did have their food it was exceptional and I love that they use clean organic ingredients which is why I make the drive, but won’t be wasting my time again. Also the time I did get food we weren’t allowed to sit in their dining room, it was closed for whatever reason

We always eat here when we are visiting Black Mountain. Delicious, healthy tacos with all sort of add-ons such as awesome homemade queso. Reasonable prices and sustainable ingredients too. What’s not to like? Highly recommended.

These are some of the best tacos we've had in black mountain and beat any taco place in Asheville ! Delicious and wholesome ingredients. We wish they were open more!

Every time I’ve been here, the food has been fresh and delicious. It’s just a couple of minutes drive from downtown Black Mountain.
