Bidra med feedbackA late New Year dinner with friends. Place a little over the day and time, although several tables were in use. Many seating, a large bar and friendly staff. Ordnete “The Donkey” for the first time a Burrito with Fritten internal, and it was crazy delicious. The Queen was very good and I consumed all the Burrito. Oddly my grilled Jalapeño was mild, but my friend had a good heat. I'd like to look over again and try another fair. I was told that the shrimps are amazing.
My wife has fled this place for a while, so I decided to take her here on a mini date. I wasn't disappointed. It is a cozy Mexican restaurant in California style with an impressive bar The dining area is on the small side, but is not with so many tables that it will make you feel claustrophobic. They are spread enough to allow a comfortable private meal. The outdoor seating area offers even more options and I'm pretty sure I've seen a DJ or band level, but not tried to check. When consulting the server / bartender (Thank you Michael) I ordered an amazing chicken shell with chorizo sausages and bacon with queso. Absolutely delicious. The chicken was very juicy and the beans were the best I had in every Mexican restaurant in Tulsa. They tasted like they had a little bacon taste. We also had house Margaritas, Queso Blanca and Churros Nutella and dulce de leche (carmel) for dessert. Basically, we found a new date-night location that we want to visit regularly.
Great outdoor seating, good food, friendly staff and perfect $3 margaritas. 4 stars because of no rice beans and chips and salsa taste strange.
Pros: Good location, cool design inside, professional staff. Recommendations: I went on the opening day, but unfortunately the tacos were bland. I strongly recommend offering specific tacos sauces (hot red and green) and some garnishes (piña, onions, cilantro) if the tacos are your flagship.
I was really hoping that whatever restaurant replaced the Rusty Crane (the space’s previous restaurant) would be something special, but this place doesn’t quite do it for me. The food was tasty, but multiple details on our orders were wrong, I’m pretty sure they don’t actually put alcohol in their margs, and the place was pretty empty for a Sunday night. They did give us free sopapillas because of all of the mess ups, but that won’t be enough for me to return. If you’re in the area I’d suggest checking out somewhere like Lone Wolf or The Tavern instead.
