La Taverna Del Duca - BISCEGLIE

What a find. This resturant is situated in one of the oldest buildings in Bisceglie. Very clean with a warm and friendly athmosphere. There are no menus here so we didnt know what to expect. We were treated to six courses of fabulous local cuisine. Make sure you arrive on an empty stomach! There is a good mix of fish and meats and cheeses. dont be afraid to ask for an alternative dish if you do not like something as the staff will gladly oblige. We were a family of 4 and the value was excellent which included wine. We could not fault this jem and will gladly return

Family feel, great choice of typical food from Bari tradition. I felt taken care of and left very satisfied. Special mention: focaccia con grano arso, masterpiece.

We chose this restaurant off Google maps did not allow enough dining time (needed to check into accommodation by 3 pm). The staff were friendly attentive considering our lack of Italian. We sampled numerous antipasti dishes, primi dessert. We tried to dine again for lunch on the Sunday but they were fully booked. This is not surprising as the food was exceptional. Local Apulian cheese, seafood wine. Absolutely lovely restaurant my favourite on this Italian trip, highly recommend. Excellent value including all courses plus wine coffee.
