The Loft Lounge - Birmingham

We visited before the theatre, the menu has compressed and some dishes are on the expensive side. I had to pay for my glass wee at the bar instead of starting a tab. that was in order, we had to hunt twice for our garlic bread and despite the request without my burger came with onion marble. not terrible, but we might find a new appetizer.

Here for dinner with 5 friends table was booked for 8:15 and we arrived at 8:15 no employee welcomed us and we had to let one in to let them know that we were here. they recognized us and then went on. next we were told that our table was prepared for us and we finally sat at 20:30. I find this unsatisfactory, as we had received a confirmation reminder of the loft on the day before our book. they obviously expected us, but the table had to be built. when we sat down to eat, there were only two other tables with dinner, so that not just busy. eating was good, but during the meal, the music played in the bar area seemed to be louder and louder and we began to hear each other. even the waiter fought to hear us when we placed our dessert order. we finished the slider doors, which separate the escaping from the main rail, which damped the noise a little. no brilliant experience.

Great atmosphere. perfect place to relax and enjoy good eating, served by friendly, confident smart staff. we wanted to hear hozier. perfect way to start the evening with a visit in the loft lounge. if they are not already!!! go! it relaxed in a cool quirky wise

The staff is friendly and helpful, but we were just allowed to hang around for 5 to 10 minutes until a table was selected for us. eating was good overall, but wait a bit, not very child-friendly, so I would not take very young children. overall pretty good .

Staff very friendly/ helpful turned music down when asked. Only disappointing thing was that they were about to change to winter menu, and had run some food stocks down so not all choices from old menu were available. But still a very nice meal and we were well looked after.
