Bidra med feedbackMy first visit. Prompt service. Ordered a meal for 2. Nice tasty food, then ordered 3 wraps which the family liked. Tables and chairs are old and tacky but food is nice. Would go again.
I purchased roast chicken, rice with veg sauce, shish style kebab and hummus. The service is fairly quick and you can take out or eat in if you wish. There is upstairs seating, usually used by families, as well as tables down stairs. The food is mildly flavoured and the prices are fairly reasonable. You will get a complementary jug of water if you request it. Ideal if you want a quick sit down hot meal.
Food is served in big portions. For the price you pay its worth it. Its the type of place you come to for a quick but satisfying bite to eat. The decor is not very good but the food makes up for that downside. If the decor is really a shock to your system just ask for a takeaway and the friendly staff will be more than happy to help.
Now firstly I have been a fan of momos since it opened because it's honest about what it's trying to be. It doesn't claim to be a high end eatery Nor does it want to be, here it's about feeding the masses plenty of what they desire good quality basic staples like roast chicken, kofta kebabs, Arab style curries normally 3 differing varieties a day, qouzi (lamb chunks cooked in a broth) Momos has always been incredible value for what you pay i remember paying £4 for half chicken with rice or pasta and it fills you up for half a day too!!! Help yourself to water and to soup, you may even have to help yourself to a cloth to clean the table as the turnover of people eating in this place is crazy that staff simply can't keep on top of it!! It's mental but I guess that half the charm, i do understand that it's to everyone's tAste can be very chaotic at times but the food is always spot on. One gripe i do have and I agree with the previous reviewer the soup is just a. Stock cube swirled in water !,, hence why I avoid it also if you have the shawarma they cut it off the main rotisserie and then proceed to cook it on a hit plate and seem to dunk loads of soy sauce all over it! Yes soy sauce that famous well known middle eastern ingredient!!!!! But I just ask them yo not cook on hot plate and to never ever think about putting any soy sauce near my shawarma,,,!,,, Eclectic but always on point I do like a MoMos now n then!!!
It was a busy area. I loved the rice and lamp pieces, they were tender and delicious. They serviced the food within 10 mins. I recommend you all– who want to have Arabian food– go to this restaurant.
