Birkenhead Tavern

The Birkey is a must-visit restaurant. The food selection is fantastic, especially the beef cheek which I love. The portions are generous and the seafood is fresh and delicious. Their cheese garlic bread is the best I've ever had. Make sure to ask for the combo as it's not on the menu - you won't be disappointed, I promise. The restaurant offers great views of the Port Adelaide docks and in the summer, you may even see dolphins. The atmosphere is nice and I highly recommend checking it out.

The food at this restaurant was delightful! We had an impromptu dinner and it exceeded our expectations. The service was excellent and the pork cutlet was cooked perfectly.

Had a wonderful meal at this restaurant today, despite the deck area being quite busy. The Barramundi was cooked perfectly and served with a delicious warm sauce. The chips were also perfect, and the Calamari was cooked to perfection. The Sticky Date pudding was a large and delicious serving, and the Nut Sundae with three big scoops of high-quality ice cream was also very enjoyable. This was our first visit and we highly recommend it. The view from the deck area is not bad considering the location, and there is plenty of parking available. The inside dining section is small but adequate.

Had lunch here today for the first time and the appearance was clean and friendly staff .The menu is very extensive but on seeing a mixed grill on the menu (which is rare now days there was no other option for me and it was fantastic.The porterhouse steak,2 lamb chops withbarossa sausage bacon egg chips and salad ..wow …we will be back and I highly recommend

We were a group of 12 and everyone had great meals . Was a cold night but the heaters kept us warm . Mains were generous and very good . Wine selection quite good Mothers Milk and Ruin reds very nice and well priced . Staff helpful and flexible 3 people we had not booked for turned up and they set up the extra places quickly and efficiently Desserts are exceptional . Great spot !
