Fantastic vacation. Stout island was just what our busy lives needed. A peaceful and relaxing getaway in a beautiful part of the state at the best time of year. Fall colors were at their most colorful, and there was nothing better than sipping wine on yourown private patio overlooking the water. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our visit was enjoyable. Shout out toStephanie for her amazing hospitality! A huge thank you to the wonderful people on staff there. We will be back next October andthe next?..and the next.

Very disappointed Mother, my daughter worked there and still has not received 2 checks and her tips. They keep telling her that the boss is not in when the previously tell her to call a specific day and time to talk to her. They also say they sent thechecks out but they?ll have to void them and resend them. It has been over month now. They owe her a little less than $1000. Sadthat they would take advantage of an 18 year old young lady. They are only showing her and teaching her some very negativelessons in the working field. I did contact the department of labor and helped her file a claim. It?s so sad that a businesswould think that taking advantage of a young girl is okay.

I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 because this wedding took place shortly after Covid restrictions were lifted (June 2021), and we may have been among the first larger weddings held there (approximately 150 guests). Unfortunately, the venue ran out of food and drinks, leaving some guests without dinner, and had to switch from kegs to warm bottled beer. However, I trust they have made improvements since then and are now better equipped to handle larger events. I highly recommend this venue if you're looking for an outdoor venue that offers a full weekend getaway!

This island resort is incredibly serene and gorgeous. We were taken to the island on a ferry with a reservation for lunch. The staff was both entertaining and helpful, providing us with a tour and sharing the island's history. The kids enjoyed playing cornhole in the courtyard. There was a croquet setup that we wanted to try next time, but we spent our time hiking the beautiful trails, including a visit to the fairy garden, so we didn't get a chance. Our food was fantastic, and even though the server was busy due to being understaffed, they still managed to chat with us and were a delight. I ordered the homemade cheesecake, which was the best I've ever tasted. It had a drizzle of lavender syrup that I think contributed to its amazing flavor. We're considering renting a room here for a weekend in the future because it truly feels exclusive and special, leaving you with a sense of peace and refreshment.

This is an enchanting place. If you arrive expecting more than the typical comforts of home, you might feel let down. Your boots might get muddy, and you may need to wave away a few flies from your plate. However, as they say, once you board the ferry, you're taken back in time—back to an era where you can enjoy a cocktail by a real wood fire, swim in the crystal-clear lake, and spend time gazing at the stars and contemplating the universe. Stout's will do everything they can to make your stay comfortable, even luxurious, but it’s up to you to slow down and truly experience it all.
