Staying at the nearby Fred Thomas Resort, 4 fellas from outside the area needed a cool local place to watch the Lions slap around the Packers. This place did not disappoint. In the first quarter, Goff threw a questionable pass that ended up in the hands of Green Bay's Ford. Rough start, but Detroit's tenacious defense shut the Pack down. From there, the Lions landed a number of blows, beginning with an Amon-Ra St. Brown touchdown. Did you see that Lambeau Leap. The fans were unimpressed. And another 2 by David Montgomery (I think from Montgomery Gentry fame). That took us to the halftime report where Richard Sherman broke down the Packers' follies with clairvoyant-like insight. Then he sent it back to the human smokeshow, host Charissa Thompson.3rd quarter, Green Bay fought back with gradeschoolesque might, scoring a touchdown and tacking on a 2-point conversion. That brought the score to 27-11. Detroit on top. Could the Packers do it? As this was a live game, we had yet to see. But at the time of this review, it was already clear, they could not. I'm getting ahead of myself. The final quarter was largely inconsequential. The crowd was distracted. And the drinks were flowing.Pitchers of mules, pudding shots, a darn fine burger (w/ jojos). The crowd was raucus. Victoria was gracious. I think a taxidermied walleye ate my friend's foam lion. The bathrooms were clean.Would definitely return. Migh not be welcome. Parking: Whistled right on in there.
Food good, nice size, good taste bacon cheeseburger. Rain drove us off lake an about 60 other people, little bit noisy but service was good.
My wife and I came here today and the second we walked in the bartender looked at us like we don’t belong there. I’m mixed race and while of course I can’t be sure this had any factor I can’t think of any other reason for her to instantly seem to be put off by us being there. I’m 28 my wife is 29 we have tattoos and rarely even get carded at all. She asks for our ID’s, looks at them for a second, then says “I won’t serve you.” We asked why and she said “your Ohio ID’s look weird” funny to hear since we have Utah ID’s (we live there now but are visiting family here) so she clearly didn’t even really look at them.. I offered to show her my credit card my insurance cards etc so she could see the names matched and she said “I have the right to refuse service to anybody I want” whether she was just rude or there was more to it I don’t know but I’ve never experienced anything like it. Just wow.
