Bidra med feedbackThere closing May 25 2019 and maybe relocating some where else. Good Luck I really liked the interior and food
Not sure about a taste of Italy, but it sure as hell was a taste of Upstate New York. After visiting with my longtime high school friend, she suggested we all go to dinner and she suggested here. So it was the couples and I thought it called for sharing an antipasto. It was huge but it needed more lettuce so I ordered a dinner salad and threw it in. I got a kid ravioli, the sauce is everything it should be. Basil got a seafood lasagne. We sampled our guests dinner, but I forget what it was. All was delicious. We are suckers for cobblers and they had a rhubarb. We shared that. A beautiful restaurant. One of the highlights of the entire trip.
By far my favorite restaurant in Billings... possibly all of Montana!!!! Everything I have had here was fantastically enjoyable to eat and the portions are certainly worthy of Big Sky country! To say I have a favorite dish would be a lie every time I think of a menu option I swear that is my favorite dish then I recall another and that becomes my favorite. There is nothing I would not eat from here and I purposely go out of my way to pass through Billings so I can grab a bite here. The staff is always super friendly and accurate and the restaurant itself has always been clean no matter what time of the day I have been in which is usually pretty late. One time I came in right at closing and was politely going to exit and seek out some fast food but the staff insisted it was not a problem and they take my order. The food was delicious hot and fresh! Soooo grateful I discovered this Italian gem in Montana. (Btw... I have lived in Italy and returned twice for culinary school so a high review for Italian is very rare from me because of this fact)
Surprisingly slow for 7:30 on a Friday night. The hostess paid no mind to me when I walked in as it seems her texting was more important. However, a server saw me standing in front of the please wait to be seated sign and helped me end my wait. I was seated at a nice table for 4 and instead of being told or shown which seat I had to sit in she asked me where I wanted to sit. Small thing but nice, especially since I always move to the seat I want anyway. The server assigned to my table was a very delightful young lady. She got my drinks, explained the menu, shared the specials and answered my questions without issue. She stayed attentive all night, refilling my water, asking how things were, etc. She did exactly what a good server should. Even after she presented the bill she hung out and talked to me. It was nice to be made to feel as I mattered. I had the seafood lasagna. Nice flavor but it did have excessive amounts of its hollandaise sauce. The garlic bread was a tad cold and rubbery. The salad was crisp and fresh. The chocolate pudding spoon cake was good. I asked for it heated and the heat didn't make it all the way through the rather smallish slice of cake. All in all, the service was a 5, the food a 3. If you go you should enjoy a reasonable priced meal that has good flavor and great service.
This seems to be one place where what I order makes a difference. We stuck with the housemade pasta. Linguine and spaghetti and housemade sauce. The fresco was good and the carbonara excellent. Perfect after a long day of travel. Super friendly staff too!
