Beachhouse - Bigbury-on-Sea

It's okay, the site says that the cafe serves hot food upto 4pm, that's not strictly true, I even asked if they could warm the cold pasties up but they couldn't. The cafe is also expensive but as it's the only one around where else are you going to go. Do go for the beach though, as the beach is stunning and well worth the visit.

The food is really tasty here. We got the fish and it was one of the best fishes I have eaten in a while. The prices are a bit high though, which did surprise us, given the restaurant has a beach shake vibe. But it is worth the extra coin.

Superb premises and location, great food and excellent service. However, it's extremely overpriced (no competition around), I have never paid that much for such a small amount of lentil soup, it felt a bit like a joke.

Great location but overpriced takeaway.V busy, even on a cold, cloudy Thursday at end of Sept so we could only get takeaway. Pastrami cheese pickle toastie delicious good value at £5.50 but SMALL cup of spicy lentil soup (no bread) rip off at £6.50. Likewise fish burger v tasty but £16 extra £4 for chips!! I've spent less in beachside pubs (ieStart Bay Inn Torcrosss) sitting inside with table service, plates metal cutlery.

Amazing food, amazing setting and just an all round great experience. Come here for simple food done very very well.
