Waldhotel Brand's Busch - Bielefeld

This restaurant is independent of the hotel. the hotel itself is beautiful, but the restaurant was shocking. I asked for a scavenger with a spatula and mushroom sauce. I received a plate with sparing and boiled kartoffels, a supplement with 2 small pieces of carving... overcooked and the sosse separated as desired. I complained that the spade was too strict, I could hardly cut it with my knife, it was clearly understated. I love sparing and eat it daily on my trips during this season. they replaced them with the same kind of one I had before the boil. I only ate the kartoffels and the carvings no spasm. the manager came to see me and said noisy that I was dressing from 1500 the only complaining! She said she would overcook me 3 speer and see what happened. they were also very strict, I never got the other speere. I was calculated for the low level of €12. I was treated rudely, I was then ignored, I was not offered a second drink and no dessert, I was billing until then given I was too tired to argue. the breakfast was unattended. there were no tables. none of the tables used were cleaned, not even after I sat there 40min. I can understand that this could happen in a cheap motel/hotel environment with self-service, but not in this well-rated hotel. the managerin was back and offered to sit my table after I had sat 20 minutes?

We were staying at this hotel, and our first night in-country, we did not have the energy to seek out alternate dining choices, so we ate downstairs . So glad we did! I ordered zander fillet, outstanding! Best treatment of this fish I have ever had....Wide selection of dishes, great wine list. We never had room for dessert so cannot comment. Prices very reasonable for the quality. We ended up eating here 3 of our 7 nights, so you can imagine it was very, very good. Breakfast was good, too.

I received a plate with asparagus and boiled potatoes, a side dish with 2 small pieces of Schnitzel...overcooked and the sauce separately, as requested. I complained the asparagus was too stringy, I could barely cut it with my knife it was clearly undercooked. I love asparagus and eat it daily on my trips during this season.They replaced it with the same type of portion I had before undercooked. I only ate the potatoes and the Schnitzel no asparagus. The manageress came to see me and loudly said that out of 1500 dishes I was the only complaint! She said she would send me 3 spears overcooked and see what happens. We were on business and have taken our dinner and some refreshing beers to us. we were kindly served, eating was very good and the value for money was also appealing.
