La Buca - BIBBIENA

We ate at La Buca on Friday night. At 2030 it was not yet busy, but got busier as the evening went on. All the staff were attentive and helpful and there was a nice atmosphere. We were really impressed, not only with the quality of the food but also with its presentation, particularly with the Salmon on Brioche... There was a number of vegetarian choices available, as well as several fish dishes for non meat eaters like us. We had the biggest anchovies we've ever seen in breadcrumbs and with a Limoncello mayonnaise, tuna steak and ravioli filled with a local soft cheese, dotted with a very good balsamic. The desserts we chose were also very tasty semifreddo with cherries and meringue scomposta with a strawberry sauce and ice cream. The house red was fruity and delicious. We were so excited by the food that we forgot to think about the prices when ordering and were pleasantly surprised when the bill came. If we were in the area again we would definitely come back!

We spent about 12 days on vacation in Italy and we visited plenty of restaurants throughout the country. La Buca was definately the best of all !! The dishes of the traditional Tuscan cusine were so original and tasty as well as the local wine. The service was really good, the atmosphere very relaxing and the prices were very good for the quality offered. We fully recommend this location to everybody viting Tuscan!!! We will come back for sure some time!!
