Vis à Vis - Bezirk Zuerich

Was a little bit wary of the of all you can eat offer as normally nothing is free in Zürich. However I was very pleasantly surprised. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere and ambiance made for a relaxing evening. The food was delicious, great chips and yes it truly was all you could eat!! Slices and slices of tasty succulent roast beef served with a choice of different sauces. We all left totally full and very satisfied. I can only highly recommend this restaurant not only to people visiting Zürich but also to anyone living in and around city.

We waited for 25 minutes for someone to ask us what we would like to drink on a dirty table (we needed to ask to clean it). The waiter didn’t know the wine names. But, nice atmosphere and good flammkuchen.

Early February I had a work lunch at restaurant vis-à-vis in Zurich. Making a reservation was easy and convenient and could be done online. Besides an à la carte menu, the restaurant offers daily lunch specials. I took the roast beef with salad which was delicious. Staff was very attentive and friendly. What I liked about this restaurant is the relative quietness good acoustics compared to other restaurants nearby, so it is a good place to have a lunch and a conversation. Prices are rather high though.

In cosy christmas atmosphere we enjoyed the roastbeef menu with tasty and tender meat and yummy sauces and friendly service. Very good value for a generous menu in a stylish restaurant close to Paradeplatz.

We’ve eaten here a few times for dinner and have only ordered the roast beef menu à discretion) — we just don’t venture trying other dishes, knowing the roast beef is simply yummy — the meat pretty much melts in your mouth, and the perfectly seasoned grilled vegetables and nicely fried fries balance the meal just right for us. It’s a pity they’re closed during the weekends. Staff could be a bit friendlier though, but ok...
