Hôtel-Restaurant Chez Mantisi - Bex

It was raining cats and dogs as we drove up to Les Posses from Bex in search of Chez Mantisi. The clouds hung low and the mountains remained invisible. The restaurant was perched high on a mountain top, and we were pleased to see a...large parking area. We walked through the door into the warm cheery welcome of a Bonjour! from the owner, as she led us to our table. For the rest of the evening we could hear her husband burst into loud song as he cooked in the kitchen. We were convinced a chef as happy as he was would present us with delicious food and we weren't wrong! We were celebrating a special occasion and although the stunning views played hide and seek with the clouds, we were happy to be snug and dry in the little restaurant cum hotel, all done up in dark wood and plush red furnishings. The menu was simple. I had a Gnocchi ai Gemelli from the list of the Chef's Recommendations and husband had Ravioles de Loup de Mer, Pesto rosso et Bisque de Homard. Unbelievably delicious. Portions were huge and I had to ask for a doggy bag to take home half the gnocchi. We shared a delectable, if unusual Tiramisu of generous proportions (it had kiwi fruit hiding in the bottom of the glass). DInner was of course washed down with a glass of vino rosso! The price was not the cheapest we have known, but the service was a delight and the evening memorable. As we braved the pouring rain to get back into the trusted chariot we decided we'd definitely be back on a day when the sky was bright blue instead of dark gray. My advice: worth making a special trip to this excellent restaurant

We were several times and have tried numerous other paints to make a reservation without luck. I love the truffle paste, which is served with a serious generous part of fat-shaved black truffles. cmmmmmmmmmmmm

Ich bin vor einigen Jahren mit meiner Familie (mehr oder weniger zufällig) auf das Chez Mantisi gestoßen, und wir blieben und aßen zwei Nächte. Seitdem habe ich mich Mühe gegeben, noch zweimal zurückzukehren. Der Ort ist phänomenal: bei den Einheimischen bekannt als Treffpunkt für hervorragende italienische Küche (einige der besten meiner Erfahrungen), spektakuläre Aussichten, komfortable und charmante Unterkünfte und vor allem entzückende Gastgeber, die sich aufrichtig für freundliche Dinge interessieren ihre Gäste und fühlen sie sich wie eine Familie. Das Chez Mantisi ist ein verstecktes Juwel, für das es sich lohnt, sich die Mühe zu machen. Ich würde es jedem empfehlen.

Dieses italienische Themenrestaurant ist ein Lob an das Ehepaar, das es führt. Wir hatten dort letzte Nacht ein ausgezeichnetes Essen. . . freundlicher Service und leckeres Essen. An einem klaren Abend ist die Aussicht fantastisch. . . un grand merci et la prochaine

Ich habe das Glück, mindestens einmal im Jahr die Schweiz zu besuchen. Chez Mantisi ist ein Favorit. Die Mahlzeiten sind durchweg fabelhaft. Die Besitzer sind entzückend und verwöhnen jeden Gast in einem angenehmen Ambiente. Bei meinem letzten Besuch genoss ich Steak mit Parmesankäse, Trüffelöl und Pommes Frites. Eine meiner Lieblingsspeisen. Sehr empfehlenswert ist ein Besuch in Chez Mantisi, wenn Sie für einen unvergesslichen, entspannten Abend in der Nähe der Gegend sind. Stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie eine Reservierung vornehmen, da der Raum und die Zeiten begrenzt sein können. Prost zu Luca.
