Bidra med feedbackWe had a fantastic meal here. The food was very good, the staff were friendly and the service was excellent. This was an important birthday meal that had been postponed by 2 years and it was well worth the wait. They even provided a bowl...of water for our dog without being asked !
Le Pavé D’Auge , the worst Michelin one star experience ever !! We’ve booked the restaurant 5 days before , due to the holiday in Normandy and we wanna have the best evening dinner for the last evening , and can’t believe we had a...such disappointed time ! In the beginning everything seems fine , and then all of the sudden the chef came to the table to take order , we were wondering why ?? And the chef didn’t introduce anything from the menu also included him . Then the Entree started to serve and my friend had the right one but mine not , I try to inform the waiter and then they realized and replace me the correct one after 5 min , so I have to watch my friend eating the Entree while waiting for mine . Soon the main course started to serve and this time mine is correct but not my fiends , they took it back just with one sorry and this time my friend has to watch me eat and his main dish came 7min later ! 2 times wrong serving !! Seriously?? When the first time was wrong , basically they should have to double check our main course , but unfortunately they didn’t !! We tried to raise down the anger and telling the senior head waiter that we are not satisfied with the situation , he answered: I AM NOT THE ONE TAKE YOUR ORDER !! With a short apology this time and tried to imply maybe we didn’t order right with French language .... which isn’t possible cause we google translate the menu and also learned how to speak ! Plus with finger point on each of the course on the menu .The other Michelin restaurant in Normandy we’ve have been has 0 problem at all with this way of order ! Oh , by the way , this one is Michelin 1 Star !! Basically our dinner was ruined and we really have no interest to argue and made the night even worse ! Plus during the desert we can see the Chef was cheerfully chatting with the head senior waiter and both have no intention to make us feeling better and also no apologize for their mistakes and misbehaving! Surly there is no reduction for the meals or drinks !! We payed full price 150€ for the most unpleasant dinner ever !! This evening in Le Pavé D’Auge is totally NOT QUALIFIED for a Michelin 1 Star restaurant !! Unacceptable!!
On Wednesday October 9 I and my wife visited this Michelin Star restaurant at 13:30 hours. We had been on the road in heavy rain for several hours and were expecting an excellent lunch at this famous place in the middle of a small village....The welcome message from the head waiter was very disappointing: Restaurant is closed. We noticed that at least four tables were occupied with guests. Could we just have something small to eat? Maybe just a dish of Foi Gras de Canard or at least a cup of coffee? No chance! Is this welcoming really worth any Michelin Star???
