Bidra med feedbackCame here for lunch last week. It was our first time at thus establishment. The portions were perfect. We got drinks, appetizers and dessert to go. Our drinks were Woodmont Jewel and Moscow Mule which were good. We got falafel as our appetizer and husband got Ouzi (lamb) as his entree and I got the lamb and chicken combo which was yummy. The lamb and chicken were seasoned well. My husband ordered baklava to go and was disappointed in size of this dessert especially for $8. He didn't realize until we got home.
Absolutely delightful experience from the friendly staff, outdoor seating, and delicious food. For appetizers, get the beef kibbeh (ground beef stuffed into a pastry), lamb sausage, and their cheese fried in phyllo dough. Those are all incredible! For the main, we got the lamb and chicken kabob entree. The meat is so tender and juicy! And the seasoning on the lamb was phenomenal. We had to end the meal with knafeh (spelled differently everywhere you go). But it's essentially cheese and deep fried noodles with a sweet sauce on top. It's always incredible and this was no exception. This restaurant is also one of the few that are actually open late, which makes this a perfect spot to hang out in a quiet setting and enjoy the outdoors while dining on delicious food. The only negative is their pita bread was almost stale and way too hard.
We went there Thursday evening for dinner . We were 12 of us . Had lots of of fun. They served us warm pita bread with oulive oil. We ordered lots of of items . All wete excelkent. My chunk lamb cubes was a bit dry for my pallet. Not enough soice bland serbed iver rice and almonds. Lived their eggplant dip . We slso got coctails mine was Mediterranean coctail . Loved it . Dessert was good too .
Went down to Bethesda to meet up with an out-of-town friend who came into DC this week for work. Chose Bacchus mainly due to its reviews, and we were all glad. We sat out in the patio area to enjoy a breezy spring evening. Ordered a few drinks like grapefruit mule and Mediterranean blue. Delicious. Not much alcohol so enjoyed the sweetness. We had a feast with shawarma with chicken, kofta, salmon and salad. The bread and oil were both great. Great meal. Great service. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the dust on the plates and cups. Because the table settings were already on the table in the patio, there was a visible amount of dust/street dust on the dinnerwares. I had to wipe off the plates before placing my bread on it.
We started with the fried cheese, special hummus and Baba ghanoush. The fried cheese was Ok, nothing special. The hummus special was good with the ground lamb but also didn't stand out. I liked the Baba ghanoush and would get it again. The combination bacchus really good. The lamb skewers done medium were some of the best lamb I've ever had! Definitely recommend getting something with lamb skewers if you enjoy lamb
