Stony Hill Diner - Bethel

Excellent service. Very attentive. Food is great. Philly steak omelet is my go to here. Monte Cristo french toast is flavorful. Plain french toast is also great. They were always there to refill our coffee when we were low. Our waitress was very friendly. Portions are big so bring an appetite.

Nice, classic diner. Really clean, not too crowded, lunchtime on Saturday. Friendly and fast service, fast probably being the reason they weren’t crowded. It moves. I wasn’t really adventurous with a Turkey club and an iced tea, but it was executed perfectly, and huge. Exactly what I was looking for. Fries were a nice surprise too. Normally I’m not a steak fries guy, but these were really good.

So, I found this place by happenstance and could not have been more pleasantly surprised. I love me a good diner and I found a good one here. The service was excellent. The food was excellent. And it had the perfect diner atmosphere, right down to the picture of Bob Hope. I don't know if I will be up this way again, but I would stop here if I am.

My first experience here…from walking in until we left we were treated as VIP guests by some of the most attentive waitstaff I’ve ever encountered. If you’re looking for great food, fast service and excellent customer service, this is the place to go when traveling along route 84 in Connecticut.
