Always a pleasure to come to the place. Food is traditional, we love the beignets catifle, the traditional patatoe dish.
The location is quaint and the restaurant suitably typical savoie The food has gone done hill though. The potato dumplings, the house speciality, are OK and the meats served at an additional cost are frankly not very good. The over salty ham with no taste...is a clear miss. The salad comes with what does not taste like homemade dressing. The service is good and charming if a little too pushy when it comes to adding more food, more drink when not requested. We have decided to try another chalet restaurant on the account that some locals seem to be deserting la Fetiuère over the years.
Correct food, with the jambon a bit salty and the beignets de pomme de terre nice but heavy. Relax atmosphere and quick service. GPS is a requirement if you do not know the neighboorhood.
Tucked away on a ski slope down to Bernex so only open in the summer . This quaint restaurant has had the same menu for over years ! It’s a limited menu but perfectly served by happy and helpful waitstaff. You have to have...the beignets, a speciality of this area which sometimes are over salted or overlooked , but never here where they are always a crispy delight . The lamb is a must , but I have to confess after going here for years I do sneak in my jar of mint sauce ....... too British I know . You need to book as they are always busy and no surprise . The omelettes are a legend and the whole ambience on terrace or in the cosy inside is an experience .
