Tab-Tim Thai Restaurant - Bern

Literally sat at the table now having just finished and wanted to write a the review. So good. Signs were promising when we stopped here for a quick drink in the afternoon and it was full of Thai people eating. Came back for dinner and...it did not disappoint. Probably one of the cheaper options in area, but so tasty. Busy (always a good sign) but service was swift. Food was great: I had beef noodle soup which was a bit of a revelation, and my other half had squid red curry, also great. Lovely change from seeing 30CHF+ dishes on the walls of fairly generic tourist restaurants.

Didn’t expect much. However the green curry is amazing! The rice is cooked nicely with great flavour and aroma, and the curry tastes like it’s made in Asia! Just so flavourful! Great homesick remedy for Asian people :

We enjoyed our meal there and compared to most other restaurants in the opposite it was very reasonable. we were dressed with familiar Thai and fried knödeln. it took a little to find, but it was good to eat.

I ate twice in this restaurant as it is near my hotel and they had a few vegetarian options. in the first night I ordered green curry vegetables and tofu: there were only a few pieces tofu and not much sweet (cooled courgettes and...Thai vegetables) in a steaming hot bowl of green curry soup with a buck of white rice. in the second night I had red curry with veg (slices of courgettes) and tofu, which came with rice on a separate teller. it was exactly the same with mainly bamboo shoot and some tofu back in a steaming hot bowl of red curry soup that was something too salty. the sweet was quite meagre for the price paid by 22 Swiss franc, but it is cheap and ok. However, I like the owners who are very friendly and the restaurant has a cozy interieur with pictures of buddhas and other Thai artifacts. the restaurant was full in the second night and service was prompt.

The restaurant is located on the main street and is therefore not too busy. with beautiful weather they can eat outside. the service was friendly, the food was good and the price correct for bern. I would go again. there is a very wide range of...Thai specialties.
