Green Lantern Pizza - Berkley

The food is great for the price. I love their antipasto salad, it's HUGE (and that's the small size). The staff always seem overwhelmed, running around, but we're always there during busy times. We haven't experienced this yet, but it would probably be an awesome place to watch a game, great bar and tons of tvs.Parking: Parking isn't a problem except during the busiest times, but there is nearby public parking if their lot is full.

Update: while we usually love coming here for lunch our last experience was not great. Our server was not attentive even though the restaurant was not busy, and the restaurant was swarming with bees inside and out. We're allergic to bees and probably saw over ten in our faces and on our table our entire lunch break. None of the staff helped, it was other patrons who helped to fight them off the entire time we were there. It was an unpleasant experience to say the least.Love that this location has so much room, our server was friendly and available when we were ready and food and drinks are reasonably priced

You'd think pizza is just pizza, but then there is Green Lantern pizza. A whole new level of pizza. It's a level you never thought could exist because you've had every other pizza. So if you think pizza can't get any better, go to the Green Lantern level.

Last night, we ordered online. When I got there to pick up the pizza, I was told that it was up next and that it would be just a few minutes. About 15 minutes later, after several people picked up their orders, I asked why the delay and was told again that it was up next and would be a few more minutes. When I asked why I was told it again that it would be up next, I was told that it was up next. It was a circular discussion with the cashier purposely missing the point. I asked to see the manager. His response was not much different than the cashier's response. His only addition was to mention that they had a deal going that night that was popular which set them back timewise. I didn't care about the wait as it was a Friday night and they had a special going (that they have offered in times past). I expected it to be busy. I was more concerned that I was told upon arrival that my order was up next and then several people arrived and got their orders. Keep in mind, they were polite the entire time...just not listening to what I was saying.Most of the time I get better service than this. This just stuck with me because they were not listening to what I was saying. Instead they were using the customer service skill of apologizing for something I didn't even think was important.

I've heard nothing but good things about Green Lantern Pizza. Finally, I was able to go! I am happy to report that it IS everything people said it was! The salad was awesome! The Lantern bread.... I will DREAM about that bread, so delicious!! We also got the Candy Coated Bacon, which my husband loved. The pizza was AMAZING!! So, so good! I really enjoyed the atmosphere, too. Tables weren't packed together.
