The burger was amazing! It was tasteful and perfectly prepared.

Eating here is always good quality. Unfortunately, the portion sizes have recently shrunk significantly. My steel head was $34 and maybe two ounces... not almost enough for me. Cooked to perfection! But maybe 5 bites in total. I understand that I'm trying to lower inflation prices, but personally I'd rather pay a little more so I don't have to eat another dinner when I come home.

They were busy and food service was a little slow. I didn't like how the cook cried in front of the house personnel to gather through the service window for a briefing. I thought that the exchange of information should take place before the shift, not in the middle of the evening service. All my servers literally fell from the food. Each large plate was announced with a monosyllable and a clank as one side of the plate fell the last inch on the table. Food and drink were good, but not unforgettable. Euclid Plane variation on a paper plane, whisky-based drink. Carrot soup carrot pure, beautifully spiced, no prominent textures or aromas. English peas ravioli tasty, flavors and colors representative of the season. Bete noir cake typical dark chocolate cakes, fresh fruits and a beautiful blob picked cream as a companion.

Food and ambience are great. The crowd is alive, not a place for a quiet date. Location is ideal for the center of Berkeley, within a block of Bart and Berkeley Rep. The prices reflect the locals and are a bit high for what is offered. But a funny evening.

WAY to noisy! Tables too close together; music too loud; not designed well for sound absorption. Will probably not come again.
