The Food It would seem like it is a pasta kind of day, and the new selection was Pasta Bene. I ordered their Gnocchi Sausage while my friend ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo. We also got Garlic Fries to share as an appetizer. The Garlic Fries were ok, not bad, but also not impressive. I originally wanted to ask for the Gnocchi Sausage with Alfredo sauce instead. But the tomato cream sauce turned out to be good also. But I kind of want to try and see what it would taste like with Alfredo sauce...maybe next time. The Miscellaneous The restaurant is on one of the main streets, so parking might be difficult depending on time. There is a decent amount of seating with the combination of indoor and outdoor. The interior also has an open kitchen design, so you can see the operations. The staff were helpful and sincere with their service. They have a good selection from their menu including salads, sandwiches, and pizzas. The prices are also not too bad, reasonable. This is the first pasta place I tried around the area. Want to try some other places to have a comparison on how well each one is. But I guess this is not a bad start.
I like this pasta place pretty good. The part is full and you can honestly take it home for a round two, the lasagna I had was also quite delicious and delicious. The Penne Bolognese my gf also had quite good. Overall, if you are looking for a first date spot / small group Pasta Hangout spot, this place is the way to go. Staff are nice, good atmosphere and mood, and a simple menu for my undecided friends haha. Rating: 8/10
The Fatuccine Alfredo gave me food poisoning. I strongly advise people to avoid this place. Food that doesn't taste good is one thing (that really cost good), but this food could make you really sick. If someone from Pasta Bene reads this, you need to take your food safety more seriously.
I am here twice, once for chicken parm (about 15 dollars and recently I went for cheese ravioli. I concluded that the food was really delicious. The portions are not massive for the price, but for Berkeley it is reasonable. The food here is so delicious? I think I'm lactose intolerant, but I'm still eating here because it's so dangy? There is also a Happy Hour Special for four types of pasta. You can find the information on your website. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think this information will be reflected on your snack pass menu. If this is the case, please update it! I want to order in advance.
