Bidra med feedbackWe really liked this restaurant on past visits, but our experience yesterday was quite poor. The menus are torn and grubby , the placemats frayed, the food lukewarm and the service indifferent. Really sad to see how somewhere can go downhill so quickly.
Curious about the good reviews we went to see by ourselves. It's average, and the price is low. The sweet and sour is not bad. The steamed ravioli are too thick, the shrimp tastes a bit bland. Sushi is not great and there is an overall lack of plain rice. The on-demand dishes were kind of a let down. Conclusion: it's a good value, but don't expect high gastronomy. Also the buffet is fun for the kids.
It’s a Chinese buffet restaurant (also has sushi and other Asian dishes). If you like Western style “Chinese” food, then this is the best in the area. The food is fresh and replenished continuously. It’s all well cooked and tasty. I love the fish, noodles, spicy prawns and sushi. If you want an “authentic” Asian experience don’t come here. You’ll have to go further afield (Asia) because you’re not going to find it in the Dordogne. If you want a small, quiet, traditional restaurant, this isn’t for you either. I can’t understand the reviews complaining about the noise or atmosphere. You can see what the restaurant is like as you walk through the door and if it’s not your cup of tea, don’t sit down to eat! If you want good, plentiful, fresh, well-cooked Chinese buffet food at a reasonable price in the Bergerac area, this restaurant is better than all the rest!
A nice place to have lunch, very good value for money, very good selection of foods, nice unhurried atmosphere, friendly staff, well worth giving it a try.
Went last night as our local restaurant is still shut. We have been looking for a restaurant of equal quality, but have yet to find it. I found the salads had too much onion and much of the food was bland. The desserts were lacking in imagination, consisting mainly of eclairs, brownies, meringues and other shop bought cake. The coconut ice cream was very nice. My wife enjoyed the wok. Our daughter preferred elsewhere. One of her chicken dishes was under cooked. I accept that can happen, but there were many young children there who probably wouldn't realise. I will rarely leave food on my plate. I never take too much, but left food after each of two visits to the buffet. I would normally sample quite a few dishes, but couldn't face any more. We had driven 50km to the restaurant. It wasn't worth it. Far too much MSG in the cooking. Why add this? The food doesn't require it. I never use it when cooking Oriental food. I can't understand how this restaurant has a Certificate of Excellence! The service could not be faulted and dishes were replenished regularly. It was quite busy, but we won't go again. The bill came to €62 for three. One beer, one soft drink and one jasmine tea.
