The Roadhouse Mexican Grill - Benzonia

My wife and I are traveling the area and stopped in at the roadhouse. What an absolutely amazing place. EVERYTHING is just perfect. The food is amazing. Margaritas are absolutely perfect and the atmosphere cannot be beat. We come up to this area on our anniversary to do the wine tasting but my actual favorite part of my trip is always the Roadhouse. I forgot to mention the staff: our waitress maybe the best I’ve had in years. And the manager Chris was so nice to us. Thanks again for everything!

Absolute 10/10 from the food to the drinks to the service to the management. A MUST when traveling to Frankfort. We will absolutely be going back!!!

I am editing this review, removing 3 stars. I am not complaining about the food. The food itself is amazing. What I am complaining about, however, is the service rules. Last night, my wife and I wanted to order quesadillas, but couldn't dine in due to time. I started driving, got about halfway there, and called to make my order for to-go. I waited to call, so when I got there, the food would still be hot. Anyway, when I called i was informed that Roadhouse does NOT do to-go orders during summer months due to not having enough staff in the kitchen to accommodate. This is the most absurd thing I have ever heard. Not only did it upset me because we were craving Roadhouse and I was already halfway there, now needing to come up with dinner plans on the fly, but it made me think... how can a business not accommodate to-go orders? Wouldn't you want to-go orders so you have more tables for other customers? I guarantee you that you would see more sales, and more happy customers. Enough so you could hire more staff for the kitchen. Come on, Roadhouse....

Noticed the day before they had a huge line out the door, got here early right before they opened and glad we did because line again grew very quickly. Got in and seated right away, they definitely know what they are doing and handled the rush incredibly well. Got drinks right away and our food within 20 minutes. Everything was delicious, highly recommended.

Chris the manager needs to be washing dishes in the kitchen. Waited over 2 hours never got seated. He said we arrived at 5;45 ,it was almost 7 and we still were waiting. I have a bar receipt from outside that refuted his timeline but he just argued with us. We left without ever eating so upset. Shame on his poor treatment of a local customer. Won't come back while he's there.
