Bidra med feedbackThe food was amazing, our server Brett was wonderful and the ambiance was spot on. My glass was never empty and our food came out quickly. My clam linguine was delicious and my boyfriend's steak was cooked perfectly. Everyone was very accommodating. We will be back!
My husband and I celebrated 30 years over the weekend, our first date was at Mama Tosca's and they made this date just as special, even down to having the same bottle of wine! Very special.
While the food, service, and atmosphere were fine, the value was horrific. My son had a dish that consisted of nothing more than pasta, red sauce, and diced lobster tail THAT COST $80! Being from the northeast, I am used to high prices at premium steak houses, but $80 for this dish was off the charts. Do yourself a favor: When they tell you about the specials (they were special alright) ask about the cost. This falls into my one and done category.
This review is many years overdue. My husband and I had just moved to Bakersfield, and all our belongings were in boxes. He ordered take out from Mama Tosca’s for our first meal in our new house. I picked it up and asked if they had any to-go cutlery and explained that everything was still in boxes. The staff explained that they did not have to-go utensils; then they gathered plates, utensils, and glasses for us to use and asked that we return them when we got settled. It was such a kind gesture and warm welcome to Bakersfield. The service was incredible and the food was delicious.
This restaurant fell short in many aspects for me and my group. Atmosphere gave off upscale vibes which was nice. The problem was...it was too dark to read the menu. Most of my group had to use our phones light to read it. There was candles at our table, but they weren't lit. The food was lackluster at best. Over priced and severely lacking in flavor. Portion sizes were beyond small. I understand that in upscale restaurants you don't pay for the size of the dish. You pay for the quality of the dish. I would've expected my lasagna to taste better then the frozen stuff you bake in your over. SMH Our server was good and attentive. The bus boy on the other hand...he needed help. Literally. He couldn't figure out how to open the door to our room(we had a large group). I wouldn't recommend. Save your money and go to Olive garden. Food tastes better and you'll leave more satisfied. I have more to say, but this review is already too long. P.s. Please upgrade your menus. You can't charge this much and have me order out of the same type menu Denny's uses.
