Bento Express - Benton Park

Definitely come here! Teriyaki bento box for dinner the meat was super tender , very good quality, everything in the dish tasted great ’was cooked so well. Loved it , coming back!

I had stopped at this place a few months ago to pick up miso soup while I had bronchitis and it was delicious. Almost like it healed me ; lol. I've been wanting to come back and so today, a coworker and I came for lunch. OMG. FANTASTIC. I had the chicken teriyaki bento and with all the stuff you get, and it's now on a list of my favorite lunch spots. The salad was fresh, the tempura galore (shrimp, broccoli, sweet potato, mushroom, green bean ALL TEMPURA was crisp, DELICIOUS fried rice, miso soup, tender chicken, and 4 rolls of sushi. I'm a basic sushi person- like Cal roll basic- so I don't have a review for that, but as full as I am...I can't wait to go again!! It's a super small place and the outside doesn't do it justice, but you have to try it!

I hadn't been to bento Express in a long time and I wanted something different so many places like love in their food nowadays. I went here the food was better than ever. It was fresh it was hot it was good perfect for the day. I got a teriyaki bento box it came with sushi a salad tempura vegetables and a shrimp tempura teriyaki chicken and I upgraded for fried rice. Can I tell you that their fried rice was amazing. The teriyaki chicken was cooked to perfection it was so juicy. The tempura vegetables were wonderful I think I had like two or three sweet potatoes in there they were so good. And I washed it all down with a Pepsi. The waiter and staff were so attentive to ensure that I had everything that I needed. Absolutely service with a smile. Their food made me smile. Also made my stomach happy. If you ever in Bakersfield near Oak and Truxtun extension. You need to stop at Bento Express right on the corner. You can thank me later

Eh, this place is ALRIGHT. nothing great with what i ate. I got the number 15 which is the dragon roll and my lady got the number 1 which was the volcano roll. The bathroom was nasty and so dusty, see video linked. the waiter was outside smoking when we arrived and never washed his hands when went back inside. Wont be back.

Very good, authentic and plentiful food. Very nice service. Gladly again.
