Carmalita's Mexican - Benton Harbor

This restaurant serves excellent authentic Mexican food! The atmosphere is very open and the service is fantastic, fast, and attentive. In addition to the delicious food, customers can also enjoy live mariachi guitar performances by a very talented musician. The burrito texano was exceptional, filled with ribeye steak, shrimp, fajita vegetables, beans, and rice, topped with red and green salsa and white cheese. The grilled flavor was out of this world! Every dish tasted fresh and made to order. Another standout was the chimichangas with shredded beef, also grilled to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning. The margaritas were also a hit, so delicious that one or two may not be enough. Overall, an excellent dining experience! Great job!

I enjoyed the traditional tacos with cilantro and onions at this restaurant. The sauce was definitely sweeter than any I've had before, but overall my meal was good. The portion size was generous as well.
