Bidra med feedbackWe decided to make a reservation at The Exchange for our Christmas dinner while visiting Bendigo. The traditional Christmas menu looked fantastic and the reviews on TripAdvisor were positive, so we felt confident in our choice. Our expectations were exceeded. Despite being fully booked, the service was attentive, friendly, and efficient. Each table was adorned with festive decorations and candy, much like the cheerful staff. The food was delicious, featuring traditional hors d'oeuvres, turkey, pork, boiled vegetables, gravy, and pavlova for dessert. My wife was pleased to be served a gluten-free version of the meal. We had a lovely time and highly recommend The Exchange not only for its food, service, and atmosphere, but also for the dedication of the staff who sacrificed their Christmas Day to serve us.
This restaurant is a lovely spot for enjoying drinks and food. The staff is courteous and helpful, and the menu offers a variety of options. The coffee is excellent as well. The private rooms make it a great choice for small meetings and gatherings.
We ate on the Vallentines Day stock exchange. We were very surprised that there was only one other group in the restaurant. As you expect, the service was attentive and efficient. Our meals were tasty and pleasant, but I definitely felt it in the atmosphere... at that night somehow.
I was really impressed by this place for the simple fact that the waiter was so nice to us. He went on to support our group of very hungry and cranky males. Since my father was uncomfortable and we had many visits to the Bendigo Hospital, it was always easier to stop somewhere for a feed before we left on our home trip. We ordered a combination of Calamari/Chips and Chicken/Salad, Burger/Chips. The food came out quickly and it tasted really nice. The waiter even offered to make some group photos as he could see that I was busy doing snapshots. The atmosphere is elevated pub, but very welcoming. Very recommended.
The end of a family weekend spent together to celebrate Christmas...... what an ending! I booked 3 days prior for a table of 12 for breakfast. We waited nearly 20 minutes to order coffee and then waited another 15 minutes before they arrived. Ordering breakfast...seemed to be an ordeal for the staff too. Only 2 staff members on and there was another large table down the back. The older waiter of the two came and apologized for the delay blaming the other table for making their life 'hell ' and hoped we enjoyed our meal. Well that took ages to come as well only to get poached eggs harder than hard boiled eggs. And the toast was cold and crispy and was presented with the bacon eggs etc on top with a triangle of butter on each exposed corner........... what?!!!! Had to remove the bacon etc in order to butter the toast..... bizarre! Not impressed, not happy and not ever going back.
